Candles, whether real or flameless, are an essential addition. Brass candlesticks, lanterns, or vintage oil lamps amplify the historical feel. Lighting should never be overly bright or sterile; instead, it should mimic the golden glow of candlelight or firelight, evoking the atmosphere of old libraries and study halls.
