Mirrors do not technically add storage, but they are an essential trick for making small spaces feel larger. A large mirror on one wall reflects light and creates the illusion of depth. Mirrored closet doors or a wall mounted mirror near a window can brighten up a dark apartment.

Combining mirrors with good lighting is equally important. Choose layered lighting with ceiling fixtures, floor lamps, and task lighting to create a warm and open feel. Bright, airy spaces feel larger even if they are physically small.
